WEAPONS OF CHOICE
Photography is a great hobby for those that love gear and love to get geeky about the latest offerings from manufacturers. It's also increasingly a great hobby for looking back too - and reliving and reviving some of the equipment of yesteryear.
I'm no different, and have a range of cameras and accessories from the latest Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM to a (growing) collection of film cameras such as an Olympus A-1, and a Canon Canonet Half Frame. And my latest obsession - drones!
SERIOUS STUFF
For serious project work, I typically shoot with the following;
Canon 5D MKII with;
- 24-105mm f/4 L
- 50mm f/1.8
- 85mm f/ 1.8
- 100mm f/2.8L macro
For more creative stuff, I also have;

When I'm out and about;
Panasonic Lumix TZ-60
Great zoom range and some very nice creative features.
Also shoots full manual and in Raw format.
Canon Powershot G10 converted to Infrared
I took my old G10 and had it professionally converted to Infrared - takes some great images.
Huawei P20 Pro
Love the sharpness and controlability with this excellent phone.
Favourite apps include; Snapseed, Pixlr, Vignette, Hypocam and Mirror Lab.
Film Cameras
A growing collection, much to the annoyance of Mrs C;
- Lomo Russia Day Limited Edition (pictured at the top)
- Self built plastic TLR that takes 35mm film
- Olympus A-1 rangefinder
- Agfa something or other
- Canon Canonet (in need of some TLC)
Accessories;
Too numerous to mention here, but the usual collection of flash guns, tripods, monopod, some filters. Also a home lighting studio with three strobes and a background stand with black, white and green screens and several printed backdrops.
Numerous light modifiers and softboxes, strip softboxes and two umbrella boxes (80cm and 120 cm) these are great with a flash and so quick to set up - highly recommended.
