Last weekend we traveled to Ireland for the wedding of the daughter of one of Mrs C’s old school friends. It was a good trip, although tiring – we left home at 4am on Saturday and returned 11pm on Monday.
I chose not to use the DSLR at the wedding this time as it was a smaller and more intimate affair than the previous week and I didn’t know the couple at all. So I settled for using the Lumix TZ60 which took some nice shots when the light was good.
We also spent quite a bit of time driving around the areas surrounding Dublin, including a nice spot for breakfast at Laytown – home to a famous “Voyager” sculpture by Linda Brunker. Shot with the infrared camera and channel swapped in post production.
The scenery was lovely and the roads were mostly quiet so touring was a real pleasure. I’d love to come back again in the future with more time to spend on sightseeing.
